Hrachuhí Bassénz

German-Armenian soprano Hrachuhi Bassenz was a member of the Semperoper Dresden, where she has been singing leading roles since 2018. Conductors with whom she has worked include Antonio Pappano, Johannes Wildner, Alexander Shelley, Marc Tardue, Daniel Oren, Antonino Fogliani, John Fiore, Henrik Nánási, Marc Minkowski, Ivan Repušić, Daniele Rustioni, Omer Meir Wellber, Joana Mallwitz and Giampaolo Bisanti and she enjoys collaborative relationships with stage directors including Laura Scozzi, Calixto Bieito, Mariame Clément, Dieter Kaegi, David McVicar, Elijah Moshinsky and Bruno Ravella. She has performed at the Royal Opera House, Vienna State Opera, Den Norske Opera & Ballet, L’Opéra national du Rhin, Strasbourg, Israeli Opera, Tel Aviv and was a member of Oper Nürnberg. In the 2023/24 Season, she returns to Semperoper Dresden for Mimì (La bohème), Antonia (Les contes d’Hoffmann) and Desdemona (Otello).
