South Korean soprano Haegee Lee joins the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme from the start of the 2017/18 Season. In the 2017/18 Season her roles include Papagena (Die Zauberflöte) and Frasquita (Carmen).
Lee trained at Seoul National University and the Conservatoire National de Région Pierre Barbizet, Marseille, and now studies with Isabelle Vernet. Awards include first prize in the Concours de Bach, Marseilles, and second prize in the first Korean Classical Singers Association International Vocal Competition, Seoul.
Engagements include Christine (The Phantom of the Opera) and performances in concert and recital across Europe, including the premiere of Chanson de Geisha at the Henri Tomasi Conference, ‘Hymnes à Maria’ in Marseille, for L’Europe de la Culture du Bel Canto à Giacomo Puccini and with Une heure ensemble in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
