American soprano Georgia Jarman made her Royal Opera debut in 2015 as Roxana (Król Roger) and has since returned to sing Agnès (Written on Skin). In the 2019/20 Season she sings Musetta (La bohème).

Jarman grew up in New York and studied at Boston University and the Manhattan School of Music. Her US opera engagements include Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia) for the Metropolitan Opera, New York, Helena (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) for Opera Philadelphia, Violetta Valéry (La traviata) for Dallas Opera, the four heroines (Les Contes d’Hoffmann) for Boston Lyric Opera, Lucia di Lammermoor and Norina (Don Pasquale) for Atlanta Opera, Mimì (La bohème) for New Orleans Opera, Gilda (Rigoletto), Elettra (Idomeneo), Marie (La Fille du régiment) and Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi) for Florentine Opera and Amenaide (Tancredi), Norina and Amina (La sonnambula) for Caramoor Music Festival. Her contemporary roles include Madame Mao (Nixon in China) for Cincinnati Opera, Catherine (Wuthering Heights) for Florentine Opera and Eurydice (Glass’s Orphée) for Portland Opera.

Jarman made her British debut in the 2011/12 Season singing the four heroines for English National Opera. Other European engagements include Isabel (Benjamin’s Lessons in Love and Violence) for Opéra de Lyon and Hamburg State Opera, Lucia di Lammermoor for Opéra national de Bordeaux, Musetta for Zürich Opera, Mathilde (Guillaume Tell) and the four heroines for Teatr Wielki, Warsaw, Massenet’s Manon for Malmö Opera, Violetta Valéry in Bergen and Ellen Orford (Peter Grimes) for Grange Park Opera. Concert highlights include Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) with the NHK Symphony Orchestra and Paavo Järvi, and Szymanowski’s Love Songs of Hafiz at the 2019 BBC Proms with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
