Designer and architect Federico Pacher makes his Royal Opera debut in the 2018/19 Season as Associate Set Designer for La forza del destino.
Pacher studied architecture and design at the Politecnico di Milano, and worked on architecture and set design projects in Italy, Asia and Switzerland, before becoming associate set designer to Christian Schmidt. He has been an exhibition designer on projects for the Landesmuseum Zürich, developed art installations for various artists (including the Art Container Project), worked as a stage designer for programmes for Swiss television (SRF) and been a production designer for events and installations. He also worked as associate set designer for La forza del destino in its initial 2017 staging for Dutch National Opera.
He lives in Milan, and continues to work as a set designer and as an architect.
