Ellen West is Head of Creative Studios and Digital Products in the Audiences and Media Department at the Royal Opera House. She joined the Royal Opera House in 2011 as Head of Online Content, and was appointed to her current role in 2017.
West was born in Belfast and studied English and related literature at the University of York. She began her career at the BBC, where she worked on interactive content for programmes across BBC television and radio 1999–2011. She was a Clore Fellow in 2015/16.
Her role at the Royal Opera House involves leading the team that creates print and digital content to support the performances and other work of the ROH.
