Russian soprano Ekaterina Siurina made her Royal Opera debut in the 2003/4 Season as Olympia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann) and has since returned to sing Gilda (Rigoletto), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte). In the 2017/18 Season she sings Mimì (La bohème).

Siurina was born in Ekaterinburg and studied at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts in Moscow. She began her career as a soloist with the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre, Moscow, and made her professional debut while still a student, singing Gilda. Opera engagements include Gilda and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) for the Metropolitan Opera, New York, Susanna for La Scala, Milan, Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) for Vienna State Opera, Servilia (La clemenza di Tito) for Paris Opéra, Adina (L’elisir d’amore) for Paris Opéra, Berlin State Opera, Bavarian State Opera and Hamburg State Opera, Gilda for Deutsche Oper Berlin and Bordeaux Opera, Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi) for La Monnaie, Brussels, Opéra national de Montpellier and Opéra Royal de Wallonie, Elvira (I puritani) for Monte-Carlo Opera and Ilia (Idomeneo) for Salzburg Festival.

Siurina sings internationally in concert and recital. Her discography includes the solo recital disc Amore e Morte.
