Alongside his opera performances, Hymel enjoys recital work and regularly performs in concert. He is the recipient of the Metropolitan Opera’s 2013 Beverly Sills Award and was named Newcomer of the Year (Singer) at the 2015 ECHO Klassik Awards. In 2013 he was awarded the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Opera for his performances as Prince, Aeneas and Robert with The Royal Opera.
