Actress, stunt director and fight director Annie Lees-Jones made her Royal Opera fight-directing debut in the 2018–19 Season as co-fight director for Der Ring des Nibelungen. She returns in the 2019/20 Season as Revival Fight Director for Don Giovanni.
Lees-Jones works widely in opera, theatre, television and film. She was the lead stunt actress and the fight director for Andrea Chénier (Bregenz Festival), directing fights on the world’s largest open-air stage, and has worked as a stunt and movement director for the Royal Shakespeare Company (The Hypocrite), Open Bar Theatre (The Comedy of Errors and Romeo and Juliet, nominated for best off-West End Performance) and the award-winning Illyria (The Three Musketeers, Robin Hood and Romeo and Juliet) among many other credits.
Lees-Jones’s film and television stunt and acting work includes My Phone Genie (ITV), playing Elektra in the Total Warrior: Spartan series of EA Games (Motion Capture) and the feature films Rock Band vs. Vampires, Staying Dead, Evolutionary, Time of the Season and My Hero.
