Biography

American dancer Annette Buvoli is a First Artist of The Royal Ballet. She trained at The Royal Ballet School and graduated into the Company in 2013. She was promoted to First Artist in 2019, to Soloist, 2022. 

Buvoli trained at the Boulder Ballet School in Colorado before entering The Royal Ballet School. Buvoli’s repertory at the School included a role in John Neumeier’s Yonderling and The Woman (Mark Annear’s La Destinée) in the School’s annual matinees. While a student Buvoli danced with the Company in Swan Lake and The Nutcracker

Buvoli’s repertory with the Company includes Fairy Godmother and The Fairy Winter (Cinderella) Empress Elisabeth (Mayerling) Fairy of the Crystal Fountain (The Sleeping Beauty), Spanish Dance (The Nutcracker) Myrtha (Giselle), Rosaline (Romeo and Juliet), Frasquita (Carmen), Two Swans (Swan Lake), Nacha (Like Water for Chocolate), a role in Symphonic Dances and dancing with the corps de ballet in Corybantic Games, Don Quixote, The Rite of Spring, Giselle, The Winter’s Tale, DGV: Danse à grande vitesse, Woolf Works, The Nutcracker, Medusa and The Dream. She has created roles in Secret Things.
