British tenor Andrew H. Sinclair is a member of the Royal Opera Chorus, which he joined in 2002.
Sinclair trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, having previously studied Electrical Engineering at Glasgow University. While still a music student he sang the role of Pythonisse (Charpentier’s David et Jonathas) in a European tour under the direction of William Christie, and subsequently performed extensively with Les Arts Florissants in venues including the Vienna Musikverein and the Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires. Before joining the Royal Opera Chorus he regularly sang with Glyndebourne Festival Opera and Paris Opéra.
Sinclair’s solo roles with The Royal Opera have included in such operas as Sweeney Todd, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, Der Rosenkavalier, Die Zauberflöte and La Cenerentola.
