British dancer Amelia Palmiero joined The Royal Ballet’s Aud Jebsen Young Dancers Programme from the start of the 2017/18 Season.
Palmiero was born in Milton Keynes and studied ballet from the age of three. She entered The Royal Ballet School aged 11 and graduating through the School. Awards include the School’s April Olrich Award for Dynamic Performance in 2014. Her roles at the School include in Kenneth MacMillan’s Concerto and the Giselle pas de six at the annual summer matinees.
Palmiero’s professional performances while a student include dancing with The Royal Ballet in La Fille mal gardée and The Sleeping Beauty, and in Giselle on tour in Japan, and with Birmingham Royal Ballet in The Nutcracker.
