There were no subtitles in Plymouth last night (in case you didn't know). Please could you let me know when this issue has been resolved.

Thanks for your comment. Apologies for the issue in Plymouth last night. There were a small number of cinemas affected and we are looking into the issue to avoid a repeat during future cinema relays.

Dimitri Platanias is among the best Rigolettos ever! The performance as a whole was very good.

Magnifique opéra que nous avons vu de Madrid.
Thanks ROH to permit us to see this performance. It was wonderful!
    We are waiting for more....

Wonderful performance we saw yesterday at Madrid, Spain.
All was perfect, the sound, the image,.... and the voices were magnificent.
Thanks to the Royal Opera House.

The voices and acting were truly wonderful. Personally I found the stage unattractive and too dark.
At the Cineworld in Cheltenham the subtitles came on half way and there was no surround sound. As a result, the music sounded somehow flat and even tended to fade slightly when the singers turned away.

Also our 1st experience of opera in cinema. The production was brilliant but I was surprised that the sound was not in sync with the film. Is this normal or just at our chosen cinema (Apollo, Piccadilly Circus, London). Can't wait for the next season.

Any chance of Opus Arte turning this performance into a DVD?
