We came, 'en famille' ; my grandaughter (14), my cousin from Italy (27), my son (40) plus a friend and her daughter (6) from Spain, to your Family Welcome day production of Swan Lake & we were all blown away by the sheer beauty of the movement, music, costume and scenery. Thank you to all the staff and performers of ROH for such a wonderful experience.
What was annoying is that the Gate Picturehouse in Notting Hill still allowed people in well into the first act. Quite disruptive. Would have appreciated if they kept a policy similar to the one if a life performance at the Operhouse is attended.
Unfortunately can't recommend to go to Gate Picturehouse.
Zineida is great, but the rest of the girls where out of sinc and sometimes too heavy. Saw Swan Lake in Riga some time ago by completely unknown to us dancers and that still remains (for me) the most impressive performance so far.
Thank you Royal Ballet for a fantastic performance of Swan Lake on the 23rd October at the cinema. The Royal Ballet just gets better and better. Please keep these relays coming both for ballet and opera.
We saw Alina Cojocaru and Johan Kobborg on 15 Nov - they were both, as well the the entire production, fabulous! Looking forward to more shows with Alina - she is gorgeous and has a perfect technique!
