Young Creatives choreography competition now open
Winners will have their work performed at the ROH and get one-to-one-mentoring from a professional choreographer.
Youth Dance England is looking for talented choreographers aged 15 to 19 to take part in its Young Creatives competition.
Young choreographers can enter with work of any form of dance, from contemporary or jazz to ballet or hip hop.
The competition offers a unique experience to work with prestigious artists in world-class organizations. Winners will create pieces that will be performed at The Royal Opera House, get one-to-one mentoring from a professional choreographer and attend a weekend-long choreography workshop at The Royal Ballet School.
Young Creatives is being run by in partnership with the Royal Opera House, The Royal Ballet School, Yorkshire Dance and professional choreographers.
The deadline for entry is 2 November 2012. Short-listed applicants will be invited to one of three selection days hosted by Yorkshire Dance in Leeds on 18 November, and the Royal Opera House on 26 and 27 November. Some of these applicants will be offered a place on the programme in January 2013.
