Watch Live: Insights into The Royal Opera's production of The Return of Ulysses on 6 December 2017

Join The Royal Opera from the Roundhouse for livestreamed performances and interviews around Monteverdi's opera.

A livestreamed Insight event will offer behind-the-scenes access to The Royal Opera's new production of Monteverdi's The Return of Ulysses on 6 December 2017 at 7pm GMT.

The event will be streamed in front of a live audience at the Sackler Space at London's Roundhouse, available on YouTube, and via the Royal Opera House website.

Presented by journalist and Roundhouse Radio host Erica McKoy and baritone Roderick Williams, the evening will include an exploration of Monteverdi's music and poetry related to the libretto, as well as an interview with director John Fulljames about his inspiration.

Cast members Francesca Chiejina who plays Melantho/Love in the production, and Andrew Tortise, singing the role of Eurymachus, will be interviewed between musical performances.

This Royal Opera House Insight event is hosted at the Roundhouse and produced by graduates of the Bloomberg Broadcast Programme.

The Return of Ulysses runs at the Roundhouse from 10–21 January 2018. Tickets are still available.

It is a collaboration between The Royal Opera and Roundhouse and is staged with generous philanthropic support from Stefan Sten Olsson.
