It's a deafening sound - nearly 2,000 young people aged 8-18 years old clapping, cheering and whooping in appreciation of a Taylor Family Foundation Schools' Matinee performance by The Royal Opera or Royal Ballet.

We're pleased to announce six performances special for schools during the 2013/14 Season: Le nozze di Figaro, The Nutcracker, Carmen, The Sleeping Beauty, a Mixed programme of The Dream/Alastair Marriott's new ballet/The Concert, and La bohème. All of these performances cost just £7.50 a ticket, and schools can also apply for a travel grant.

I would give it 10 out of 10

Watch the film for a glimpse into these in-demand events through comments from students and teachers, and hear the thoughts of Director of The Royal Ballet Kevin O'Hare, and Director of Opera Kasper Holten.

Applications for the three Autumn/Winter Taylor Family Foundation Schools’ Matinees are now open and close on the 10 July.
