What we’ll be asking him is up to you, so send us your questions via the comments area below or on Twitter using the hashtag #AskSirJohn. You might want to ask him about his favourite role in over 35 years of singing with The Royal Opera, or his thoughts on contemporary opera such as The Minotaur.
John is singing the role of The Minotaur in January 2013, a role that was created specially for him by composer Harrison Birtwistle. The Minotaur‘s Sitzprobe, with John performing, will be featured as part of Royal Opera Live – a day of live streaming from Covent Garden on 7 January. He is also acclaimed for his Wagnerian roles, most recently performing as Hagen in Keith Warner’s production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle.
We’ll ask John a selection of your questions from 6pm on the day, so make sure you follow us on Twitter before then. Recent Q&As include ‘twinterviews’ with The Royal Ballet’s Marianela Nunez and Thiago Soares; and Gary Avis.
