Summer opening hours at the Royal Opera House
Box Office to have reduced opening hours during August.
From 23 July to 31 August, the Royal Opera House Box Office will have different opening hours.
Although the telephone service will remain open from Monday to Saturday, the Box Office in Covent Garden will be closed on Monday 23 July and from Thursday 26 July up to and including Tuesday 14 August.
From 15 to 30 August* the Box Office will open with reduced opening hours: from 10am – 6pm. View the full timetable of opening hours below.
The Royal Opera House will, however, be as busy as ever over the summer period. From 28 July to 12 August, Covent Garden is hosting The Olympic Journey: The Story of the Games, a free experience that takes you through the evolution of the Olympics from its origins in Ancient Greece to the professional athletes of today. From 24 July, the Royal Opera House shop will open as an official London 2012 retailer, only stocking official Olympic Games merchandise until Sunday 9 September.

Box Office will return to normal opening hours (10am – 8pm). There is a possibility that Box Office will remain open longer over the Deloitte Ignite festival weekend (TBC)

The Royal Opera House shop closed on 18 July for stock taking and refurbishment, and will re-open on 24 July as an official LOCOG retailer. It will stock only official Olympic Games merchandise until Sunday 9 September, when will reopen as before.
From 28 July to 12 August, the shop can only be accessed by visitors to The Olympic Journey: The Story of the Games.
