Tennis stars swapped their whites for ball gowns and black tie last night at the traditional Wimbledon Champions Dinner. The Champions Dinner was first held in 1977, and now takes place after the Men's Final. This year marks the first time it has been held at the Royal Opera House.

In keeping with the Wimbledon colour scheme, the Royal Opera House rolled out a purple carpet to welcome the 420 guests to the Paul Hamlyn Hall. Attendees included 2014 Men's Champion Novak Djokovic, fresh from his victory on centre court, and 2014 Ladies Champion Petra Kvitová.

Other ceremonies held at the Royal Opera House include the BAFTAs, which have been held at the ROH for the past eight years, and the GQ Men of the Year Awards.

Other Front of House areas of the Royal Opera House available for hire include the ballet studios and the opulent Crush Room. Find out more about venue hire.

The Champions Dinner was co-ordinated by Sprout Productions.
