Royal Ballet Triple Bill DVD available to pre-order

Frederick Ashton's Les Patineurs, Divertissement and Scènes de ballet available to take home.

The DVD featuring Les Patineurs, Divertissement and Scènes de ballet, all choreographed by Frederick Ashton, is now available to pre-order from the Royal Opera House Shop.

The DVD will be released on 1 November 2011.

Les Patineurs evokes the Edwardian skating rink, with all its youthful charm and humour, in contrast to Scènes de Ballet where sharp geometric shapes and the music of Igor Stravinsky are combined to create perhaps Ashton’s most modernist work. Divertissements, a collection of eight short dances, features some of Ashton’s most lyrical choreography, including pas de deux set to Romantic masterpieces by Tchaikovsky and Massenet.

    Would be nice to have a full list of the diverts...these are important pieces!
