Royal Ballet artists triumph at National Dance Awards for 2015

Winners include Wayne McGregor, Vadim Muntagirov, Laura Morera and Matthew Ball.

The winners of National Dance Awards for 2015 have been announced, with a number of Royal Ballet artists honoured.

The awards are decided by a panel of the British dance industry's top critics and the winners announcement follows 14 nominations this year for The Royal Ballet.

The award for Best Classical Choreography went to Wayne McGregor for Woolf Works.

Alessandra Ferri won Best Female Dancer, while Vadim Muntagirov won Best Male Dancer.

Laura Morera won in the Outstanding Female Performance (Classical) category for her performance as Lise in The Royal Ballet's La Fille mal gardée.

Matthew Ball won the Emerging Artist Award.

Former Royal Ballet Principal Sylvie Guillem won the De Valois Award for Oustanding Achievement in recognition of a stellar career.

Other winners included New Adventures (Outstanding company) and Crystal Pite (Best Modern Choreography).

    Congratulations to Wayne McGregor for Woolf Works. It was amazing, I saw it twice and I'd go every night if it gets brought back into the repertoire.
