ROH LIVE Cinema Season 2013/14 tickets on sale

Productions to be screened live include Turandot, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker and Don Giovanni.

Tickets for the Royal Opera House LIVE Cinema Season 2013/14 go on sale today. The Season, which kicks off on 17 September with a live relay of Puccini’s Turandot, is expected to reach its largest ever global audience: an unprecedented five live operas and five live ballets will be broadcast live across the world.

The productions to be screened live during 2013/14 are:


Tonight’s live screening of Britten’s Gloriana draws the 2012/13 Season to a close. The Season featured nine productions broadcast in more than 35 countries.

The Nutcracker, broadcast live on Thursday 13 December 2012, was the second highest grossing film in the UK Box Office chart that day, between Hollywood blockbusters The Hobbit and Skyfall. Similarly, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, broadcast live on 28 March 2013, was seen by over 40,000 people in the UK.
