The Royal Opera House has established a new programme, ROH Connections, to build on existing relationships with other performing arts organizations and share expertise.
We want to offer an expanded programme of support to the sector, sharing more widely the skills of our people so that we as an organisation can affect positive change, benefit from a strengthened performing arts sector in the UK, and as individuals and as an organisation learn from new, rewarding, two-way partnerships.
The programme, run in partnership with Arts Council England, will allow the Royal Opera House to build other organizations’ sustainability and impact by sharing expertise across a variety of disciplines. It follows support for organizations such as Ballet Black and our leading role in initiatives such as the establishment of a National Skills Academy for Creative and Cultural Skills.
ROH Connections consists of two main elements:
- ROH Links will connect with three small and medium sized opera, orchestra, dance and/or ballet organizations over a two-year period and share expertise around either arts management or technical areas.
- ROH Board Bank will allow all arts organizations looking to grow the expertise of their board the opportunity to take on a member of Royal Opera House staff as a board member.
