The Royal Ballet performed the hotly-anticipated new production of Swan Lake as part of an exclusive residency at Teatro Real in Madrid.

Inspired by the performances, the dancers also worked to bring dance to community groups around Madrid, with a series of participatory workshops and a Swan Lake flash mob in association with the British Council.

We've rounded up a selection of our favourite behind-the-scenes photos posted on Instagram with the hashtag #RoyalBalletTour.

If you were in Spain to experience the performances, let us know what you thought in the comments below.
