Royal Opera House Education in Thurrock is delighted to announce that they have become an Arts Award Welcome Centre, meaning young people aged 11-25 can gain an Arts Award national qualification through participating in their activities, both in Thurrock and Covent Garden. More information on The Arts Award scheme is available here.

ROH Education in Thurrock is also a centre for Arts Award Advisor training, ensuring that more young people receive accreditation through their programmes.

Through participating in a Royal Opera House Creative Partnerships young leadership programme in their schools, four young people have become some of the youngest in the country to receive the Bronze Arts Award. You can find a film below about the process these young people went through to gain the award.

In other news - the Thurrock Community Chorus, which is open to everyone living in Thurrock, is now in full swing with rehearsals happening every week. More information about the Community Chorus and other current opportunities can be found on their get involved page.
