Metamorphosis Titian, a book chronicling the production of last year’s collaboration of the same name between The Royal Ballet, and the National Gallery, is now available from the Royal Opera House Shop.

The book is published in both a limited edition and a standard edition and tells the story of the complex project from conception to stage and gallery. It features images from rehearsals, set creation and gallery installations, as well as dozens of unseen photographs of the performances themselves.

The three-ballet programme brought together seven choreographers – Kim Brandstrup, Wayne McGregor, Alastair Marriott, Christopher Wheeldon, Liam Scarlett, Will Tuckett and Jonathan Watkins – and three contemporary artists – Chris Ofili, Conrad Shawcross and Mark Wallinger – to create works inspired by the paintings of 16th century Venetian artist Titian.

The limited edition version of the book is presented in a cloth bound case and includes three original, signed prints by the artists involved. 250 copies were published.

The standard hardcover edition is priced at £24.99.
