Beatriz, Matthew and Yasmine were superb in this when I saw them on Monday evening. Enjoy ! Matthew & Yasmine are (in my opinion) the most exciting new partnership of the last year - a real connection of talent.

I frequently attend both ballet and opera at ROH and understand when one of the cast has an injury and needs to be replaced. However I am at a complete loss indeed livid to see that on account of Cuthbertson's injury all 3 other principal dancers have been replaced tonight.
I would never have booked to see a production without a single principal dancer.
I think this is another instance of an increasingly disinterested autocratic management decision by the ROH and will reinforce a growing feeling that dance at the ENB is much better option these days

We are sorry to hear that you were upset by Friday evening’s cast changes and do appreciate the disappointment when a scheduled cast is unable to appear.

Regrettably injury and illness can have quite a knock-on effect on casting, depending on the nature of the group choreography. Both Lauren Cuthbertson and Federico Bonelli were injured which necessitated a few changes due to the complexities of the partnering and the time that would have been required on the day for new partners to work together. The safety and security of the dancers is a prime consideration in these instances.

Beatriz Stix-Brunell replaced Lauren so was partnered by Nicol Edmonds with whom she had danced at other performances, rather than by Vadim Muntagirov. And Matthew Ball replaced Federico and was cast with his partner from other performances, Yasmine Naghdi, rather than with Marianela Nuñez. Anna Rose O’Sullivan then covered the role that Beatriz had been scheduled to dance originally. Principal Sarah Lamb was still able to appear. Apologies if this wasn’t fully clear from the announcement and cast slip but hope this helps to clarify the situation.
