Cast changes: Manon on 19, 28 April and 5 May 2018

Cast changes for the roles of Manon and Des Grieux have been announced.

It has become necessary to make the following cast changes for performances of The Royal Ballet's Manon:

Due to illness, Laura Morera will be replaced by Francesca Hayward as Manon on 19 April.

Due to injury, Steven McRae will be replaced by Alexander Campbell as Des Grieux on 28 April and 5 May.

The rest of the cast remains the same.

    Will this be Alexander Campbell's debut at Des Grieux?

      I think he danced the role on opening night? He's just superb.

      Heather, Alexander Campbell danced Lescaut on opening night, while 28 April will be his debut as des Grieux (provided he doesn't have to cover for anyone else in the role before then).

    It is,and also debuts for Akane Takada's Manon and for James Hay's Lescaut.
