Due to illness, Italian soprano Carmen Giannattasio has had to withdraw from the role of Nedda in Pagliacci in this evening’s performance (22 December 2017). The role will now be sung by Romanian-born British soprano Simona Mihai, who also sings the role on 6, 9 and 13 January, as originally scheduled.

Simona Mihai was a Jette Parker Young Artist for The Royal Opera 2008–10, singing roles including Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel, Belinda in Dido and Aeneas and Poussette. Since leaving the Programme she has returned to sing Frasquita in Carmen, Poussette in Manon, Nedda in Pagliacci and Mimì and Musetta in La bohème for The Royal Opera.

The rest of the cast remains the same.

If you have a ticket please see terms and conditions of sale.
