Cast change: Rupert Charlesworth to sing in Mitridate, re di Ponto

English tenor to sing the role of Marzio, replacing Andrew Tortise.

Due to illness, English tenor Andrew Tortise has had to withdraw from singing the role of Marzio in Mitridate, re di Ponto. The role will now be sung by English tenor Rupert Charlesworth.

Rupert Charlesworth’s recent roles include John/Angel 3 in Written on Skin, Damon in Acis and Galatea and Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Aix-en-Provence Festival; John/Angel 3 in Written on Skin for the Bolshoi Theatre; Emilio in Partenope with English National Opera; various roles in The Fairy Queen and Lucano and Soldier 1 in L’incoronazione di Poppea for Theater an der Wien; Tamino in Die Zauberflöte and Mr Rushworth in Mansfield Park for the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied; and Soldier in Der Kaiser von Atlantis for English Touring Opera.

The rest of the cast remains the same.
