As an Arts Award Centre you can apply to the Access Fund to help your Arts Award project.
If you do not succeed in getting funding from Arts Award then we at the ROH Bridge see your application and we have a pot of money to allocate too.
There are differences between the two pots of funding:
Arts Award will give from £100-£1,500
ROH Bridge will give up to £500
Arts Award will pay for moderation fees and Adviser/project management/staff time where as ROH Bridge will not pay for those.
On the other hand, Arts Award gives priority to projects which:
- Are working with disadvantaged young people
- Are taking part in Arts Award for the first time
- Are not receiving regular public funding
- Are using the grant to access an Arts Award Supporter offer www.artsaward.org.uk/supporter
ROH Bridge does not have these requirements. We do look for projects which are exciting and interesting, or are a bit different. They also need to be well thought out and planned.
We have a major focus on Silver Arts Award this year and have a support programme set up for this in addition to the access fund – please contact the Arts Award programme manager Jen Farrant for more information
Needless to say we can’t fund EVERY project, but in the last round we did fund everyone who applied to us to a greater or lesser degree. Last round there were only 5 applications from the whole of our region of Beds, Essex, Herts and North Kent (Medway, Swale & Gravesham), so let’s get more applications in!
If you would like to talk through your ideas please do email our Arts Award programme manager Jen Farrant to arrange for a call.
The next application round opens on the 26 January and closes at 5pm on the 27 February 2015, so get thinking!
