La bohème in a Day

‘La bohème in a Day’ is a new project for school and community choirs, designed to engage singers of all ages with the enriching process of telling a story through dramatic singing. During the day-long workshop, a vocal practitioner and director from the Royal Opera House will work with your singers to explore Puccini’s classic tale of young love. At the end of the course, the participants will have explored how to tell a story with their whole bodies, how to stage that story, and how to work together as a company.

Use the resource pack below to get started, or contact learning@roh.org.uk for more details about how to take part.

"It was a fantastic day! To see our young singers tackle some fiendishly difficult repertoire, which also happens to be some of the most beautiful music ever composed was a joy to behold. They were amazing."
