We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2018/19 Design and Make competition for primary schools.
This year the competition welcomed 14 participating schools with over 800 overall participants. 22 finalists were submitted for judging and the quality of children’s work was better than ever. The judges were amazed by the many imaginative interpretations of Romeo and Juliet that were created by the children.
The winner is…
Mahdi Hassan from Lansbury Lawrence Primary in Poplar for his innovative modern market place design for the ballet.
Mahdi and his classmates will be invited to the Royal Opera House to see a matinee performance of Romeo and Juliet where Mahdi will be presented with his prize by Kevin O’Hare, Director of The Royal Ballet.
The judges would also like to commend highly the work of…
Charlie Bartolo from Little Thurrock Primary School for his intricately illustrated design.
Congratulations to all who took part and we hope you will enter the competition again next year.
