RM19 Youth Singing Group

RM19: New vocal group for young people in Thurrock

RM19 is Thurrock’s newest vocal experiment. Led by Artistic Director, Dominic Peckham, genres from pop, rock and hip-hop to classical and opera via dub step and R&B will all be combined using the human voice alone.

The group is free to join and open to anyone aged 11-25 who lives, works or studies in Thurrock. Whether you’re a singer-songwriter, an aspiring DJ and beat-boxer, or have only ever sung into your hairbrush at home, join now to help create the unique and dynamic sound of RM19.

By joining the group, singers will get the chance to:

  • Work with other singers to create unique pieces of music
  • Learn and develop vocal skills and technique
  • Gain valuable experience and confidence in performing
  • Meet other young people from across Thurrock
  • Get involved in all aspects of running a vocal group, such as marketing, choreography and design
  • Perform at public events across Thurrock and the wider region
  • Have fun!

To register for the next taster session, email getinvolved@roh.org.uk or call 01708 891 200.

The group meets fortnightly on Saturday afternoons at High House Production Park, Vellacott Close (off London Road), Purfleet RM19 1AFT. View map.

No previous singing experience required – just enthusiasm, a love of music and a willingness to experiment.
