Resident Choreographer, The Royal Ballet

Wayne McGregor is founder of Wayne McGregor | Random Dance, Resident Company of Sadler’s Wells, for which he has made more than 30 works, including UNDANCE, FAR, Dyad1909 and Entity. He has created works for The Royal Ballet (‘Machina‘ from Metamorphosis: Titian 2012, Carbon Life, Live Fire Exercise, Limen, Infra, Nimbus, Chroma, Engram, Qualia, Symbiont(s)), Paris Opera Ballet, NYCB, Stuttgart Ballet, Australian Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, ENB, Rambert and NDT1.

His theatre and opera credits include directing and choreographing for The Royal Opera (Dido and Aeneas and Acis and Galatea), Kirikou et Karaba (Paris), The Woman in White (London, Broadway) and productions at La Scala, Milan, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Scottish Opera, ENO, Old Vic, NT, Royal Court and for the Peter Hall Company. His film credits include Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Radiohead’s Lotus Flower music video and Frederick Wiseman’s La Danse. A multiple award-winner, he was appointed a CBE in 2011.
