White City, Shepherd's Bush

The White City screen is located at the forecourt of the Television Centre in the heart of Shepherd's Bush. Benefiting from an ideal location, it is surrounded by corporate businesses, cafés, restaurants and shops and is a transport hub for West London.

Bizet's greatest opera tells the story of the enigmatic and seductive Carmen and the dangerous passion she arouses in Don José. Watch The Royal Opera’s fresh take on this much-loved opera, complete with flamenco dancers, bull fighters – and a gorilla – all in a free live screening from the Royal Opera House.

Revolution is in the air in The Royal Opera’s beautiful production of Mozart's great comic opera. Colourful characters mix with intrigue, misunderstanding and forgiveness in a multitude of dramatic twists. Watch a live screening of this famous opera from the Royal Opera House stage.

 

What I need to know before I attend:

White City is open to all. Please feel free to bring cushions and blankets for your comfort. There will be food and drinks available from local premises; alternatively, please feel free to bring your own picnic. All litter should be disposed of in bins provided or taken home. Please dress appropriately for the anticipated weather conditions. Children must be accompanied by adults.

In the interest of public safety, the following conditions will apply in White City:

  • Free entry to the event on a first come first served basis.
  • Event stewards will be present for your safety.
  • No portable barbecues.
  • The organizers reserve the right to refuse admission to the event for whatever reason.
