The Big Screen is based at the heart of the University of Warwick campus, near the Students Union and Arts Centre. The Big Screen welcomes the local campus community and wider public to enjoy a variety of national sporting and cultural events, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The Royal Opera | Carmen | 2 July at 7pm| pre-screening starts at 6.30pm

Bizet's greatest opera tells the story of the enigmatic and seductive Carmen and the dangerous passion she arouses in Don José. Soak up free culture on your doorstep: watch The Royal Opera’s fresh take on this much-loved opera, complete with flamenco dancers, bull fighters – and a gorilla – all in a free live screening from the Royal Opera House.

Revolution is in the air in The Royal Opera’s beautiful production of Mozart's great comic opera. Colourful characters mix with intrigue, misunderstanding and forgiveness in a multitude of dramatic twists. Watch a live screening of this famous opera direct from the Royal Opera House stage.

What I need to know before I attend:

Please note, the Royal Opera House always seeks guidance regarding content from the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). While a 12A rating is the minimum classification level issued for all live screenings in the UK, our content can still be suitable for children of all ages. The University of Warwick Piazza is accessible to all. There are concrete steps in front of the Big Screen, which you can sit on – but you may wish to bring your own cushions, blankets or more comfortable chairs. There will be food and drinks available to buy from shops, cafes and bars in the Piazza or alternatively please bring your own picnic. All litter should be disposed of in bins provided or taken home. How do I get there?
The University of Warwick is currently undertaking a transformation of campus, which includes some road works. Please allow extra time for your journey. To help plan your trip, please visit www.warwick.ac.uk/visit

Car
There are plenty of safe parking spaces in close proximity to the Piazza Big Screen. When arriving on campus, follow the signs for the car parks. The nearest car park is Car Park 8.

Blue badge holder parking is available at the rear of Senate House and on Health Centre Road. Blue badge holder parking is free at all times.

Please note, multi story car parks on Central Campus do not have a lift.

Train
The nearest mainline station is Coventry. From Coventry station you can catch a No. 12 or 11 bus, which takes approximately 15 minutes, or a taxi.

Buses
Regular services run between Coventry, Leamington and Kenilworth to the University of Warwick and drop you on main campus. The number 11, 12, U1 and U2 are the main routes servicing campus.
