Queen’s Drive Space is a new and exciting destination opening for this summer season on Exmouth seafront, bringing new attractions and entertainment for all ages. While children enjoy the free Jurassic-themed children’s play area, you can relax in the colourful seating area and enjoy the best of the region’s food and drink as offered by Taste of the West.

The Royal Opera | Carmen | 2 July at 7pm| pre-screening starts at 6.30pm

Bizet's greatest opera tells the story of the enigmatic and seductive Carmen and the dangerous passion she arouses in Don José. Soak up free culture on your doorstep: watch The Royal Opera’s fresh take on this much-loved opera, complete with flamenco dancers, bull fighters – and a gorilla – all in a free live screening from the Royal Opera House.

Revolution is in the air in The Royal Opera’s beautiful production of Mozart's great comic opera. Colourful characters mix with intrigue, misunderstanding and forgiveness in a multitude of dramatic twists. Watch a live screening of this famous opera direct from the Royal Opera House stage.

What do I need to know before I attend?

Queen’s Drive Space is easily accessible by all forms of transport and is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. A limited number of deckchairs will be available to hire but there will be no dedicated event seating, so please bring camping chairs, cushions or blankets for comfort. This is an outdoor event so please dress appropriately for the anticipated weather conditions.

In the interest of public safety, the following conditions will apply in Queens Drive Space:

  • Free entry to the event space is on a first come first served basis subject to capacity
  • Prohibited items include, but are not restricted to, large parasols, gazebos, awnings and portable barbecues
  • The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission to the event space for whatever reason
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic but for safety reasons, please do not bring any glass containers to the event
